Picnic Time for Soft Toys

22/07/2016

Enjoying the Teddy Bears' Picnic at Larnach Castle yesterday, part of the Cadbury Chocolate Carnival, are Maggie Coutham (4), of Dunedin, Charlie (5) and Toby (7) Baum, of Wellington, and Holly Pryde (4), of Dunedin.

Teddies were joined by kangaroos, elephants and all manner of soft toys, turned out in their finest foil glamour-wear.

There was morning tea and a chocolate egg-and-spoon race around the castle's carriageway before the day's highlight, the teddy bear fashion parade.

The week-long carnival concludes today with the Baldwin St Jaffa Race at 11am and the Winter Ball tonight, also at Larnach Castle.
