Norcombe Barker receives Michelle McCormack Award

The Board of Dunedin Host is pleased to announce that Norcombe Barker - Executive Director at Larnach Castle - has been announced the recipient of this year’s Michelle McCormack award.

Norcombe Barker is a committed community leader who has made significant contributions to Dunedin through board memberships and chairmanships such as Wild Dunedin Festival, Save the Otago Peninsula, Otago Boys High School and Dunedin Host.

He has a wealth of experience in the tourism industry and is passionate about sharing that knowledge. Norcombe recognises the value of partnership to grow organizations and he supports other operators and the wider community to achieve sustainable growth, this attitude to partnership has resulted in positive outcomes for many local businesses.”

About Michelle McCormack and the Award
Michelle McCormack was an incredibly lively, enthusiastic person who contributed a huge amount of energy to promoting the New Zealand Marine Studies Centre, the International Science Festival and Dunedin in general. Dunedin Host are giving this award to honour her memory and encourage others in the Dunedin tourism industry who also have a passion and energy in their business.
