The Spring Collective: A Market of Makers

For our second year running - the Spring Collective is back on our very own front lawn.

Discover a vibrant market showcasing local and New Zealand artisans, craftspeople, and producers:

• Handmade art, soaps, skincare, photography, and distillers

• Fresh produce and baked goods such as breads, cheeses, preserves, chocolates, fruit and vegetables.

• Stallholder introduction to come.

Alongside the market, enjoy a day out for the whole family. There will be:

• Bespoke Garden Tours

• Castle Tours (Daily Tour is 60 minutes, information here)

• Live music and entertainment

• Dedicated Kids Zone with activities

• A Larnach Castle plant stand

• Ballroom Cafe will be open with a delicious menu, cabinet food, coffee and so on.

Visitor entry price:

• Standard Garden entry - $25 adult (15+ years; information here)

• Kids Go Free (T&Cs apply)

• A great chance to purchase or use your Loyal Locals or Annual Pass – making your visit free!

A trip to the Castle is always a great day out, especially for kids.

Our Kids Go Free promotion is our way of making sure more families in our community can come along and join the fun!

Terms and Conditions:

• Deal available on Saturday 17 October 2026.

• Up to 3 children free with 1 accompanying paying adult and reflects the adult ticket purchased e.g.: Castle and Gardens, or Gardens only.

• A child is classified as anybody aged 14 or under.

• This is a retail product through Larnach Castle only for families via our Gatehouse or Online.

• This is not for preschools, schools or holiday programmes, tourism operators or booking agents.

• Current Loyal Local Pass for an adult can be used and must be shown upon entry along with a photo ID.

• This cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer e.g.: kids cannot also get a Loyal Locals card along with free entry. The full paying adult is eligible for a Loyal Local Pass. 

• Children must be supervised at all times.
