Annual Pass

Larnach Castle has always valued the support of our community. Our Loyal Local Programme is our way of saying thank you. It’s designed for Dunedin locals and frequent visitors who love exploring the Castle and Gardens.

How it works

Purchase either a Castle and Garden or Garden Only entry, and you’ll receive a matching Annual Pass providing unlimited entry for 12 months (T&Cs apply).

How to get your Annual Pass

You can either purchase your entry ticket at the Gatehouse or online. If you purchase online, simply show your ticket at the Gatehouse when you arrive. Please then visit our friendly Hosts at the Gift Shop or Castle Front Door will help you set up your pass. Ensure you have a New Zealand photo ID with you to sign-up. 

Who can join?

• Dunedin residents and those in surrounding areas

• Regular visitors from anywhere in New Zealand - perfect if you have family in Dunedin and visit often.

What’s included

Your Annual Pass gives you:

• Unlimited entry based on the ticket you purchase (Castle and Garden or Garden Only)

• Access to the Gift Shop, Ballroom Café, and surrounding grounds

• Early access to event announcements through our What’s On emails

• Discounted event tickets on selected events. 

Terms and Conditions

The Larnach Castle Annual Pass has the following Terms and Conditions (T&Cs):

• Non-transferable, non-refundable, and for the passholders use only. The passholder will not attempt to give it to friends or family to use. 

• Upon each visit, the passholder must provide the Annual Pass Card and a valid New Zealand photo ID card (e.g.: Drivers License, Passport, 18+ Card, Gold Card, Kiwi Access Card). If no photo ID is available then an EFTPOS or Credit Card with the passholders name may be used. 

• Not valid with any other offers (e.g.: Kids Go Free or Family Pass). 

• After 12 months, a new entry ticket must be purchased for a new pass to be issued. 

• ​Locals who purchase a full-price event ticket (except events without a Loyal Local discount, such as the Winter Ball) or stay in any of our accommodation are eligible for a Loyal Local Pass; however, the Castle Dinner Experience does not qualify.

• Larnach Castle Limited reserves the right to modify the programme. Existing passholders would retain the benefits they originally signed up for until the expiry date on their Annual Pass Card.

If any of the above T&C's are violated, Larnach Castle reserves the right revoke the passholders membership.
