Larnach Castle is looking for Tour Guides to join our team.
We're looking for people that enjoy hosting visitors of all nationalities and cultures. A love for history and gardens plus a passion for heritage buildings is essential. Speaking a secondary language is a bonus.
The position involves greeting guests, sharing Larnach Castle's story through a guided tour, hosting them throughout their visit, serving morning tea, and waving them goodbye.
Tour Guides predominantly guide visitors through Larnach Castle and may be trained for short garden tours.
This role is extremely important. Your hosting can determine the guest’s lasting memory of their visit.
Requirements:
- Knowledge and passion for history.
- Willing to learn garden tours.
- Willingness to work weekends, public holidays, and peak tourist seasons.
- Adaptability to varying group sizes and schedules.
- Should be able to / learn to assist with High Tea, Devonshire Tea and Lunch tours with food and beverage service.
- Be a team player and able to assist other team members when and where required.
- Comfortable walking and standing for extended periods, as tours may involve navigating the castle and grounds.
