Venue: Larnach Castle Circular Lawn

For our second year running - the Spring Collective is back on our very own front lawn.

We are seeking local artisans and craftspeople to join us again for our our Market of Makers. This is an opportunity to exhibit locally made art, crafts and produce with guests from around New Zealand.

Seeking vendors

We're seeking quality artisan vendors. All vendors will be carefully selected to ensure quality produce and goods are sold, also aiming to reduce competition amongst businesses.

New Zealand produced, crafted and grown products (including, but not limited to):

Handmade products such as art, craft, soaps, skincare and photography
Produce and fresh baked goods such as cheese, breads, preserves, chocolates, fruit and vegetables
Distillers, winemakers and brewers

A day out for everyone, there will be:

Bespoke Garden Tours
Castle Tours (Daily Tour is 60 minutes, information here)
Live music and entertainment
Dedicated Kids Zone with activities
Ballroom Cafe will be open with delicious menu items, cabinet food, coffee and more.

How do I apply to be a vendor for The Spring Collective Market?

What are the costs to be a vendor/stallholder?

To make this accessible to local businesses, there will not be an upfront stallholder cost to be a vendor at The Spring Collective. Instead, stallholders will pay a 10% commission on all sales made on the day to Larnach Castle Limited.

What will Larnach Castle provide?

Larnach Castle's Team will manage the market promotions, organisation and overarching visitor experience to ensure it's a successful day for vendors and that our community have a great time. There will be:

Dedicated market space on the Circular Lawn with allocated vendor spots.
Vendor/stallholder carparking close by.
Fun and memorable day out for everyone with Garden Tours, Castle Tours, live music, dedicated Kids Zone, and the Ballroom Cafe will be open for food and beverage.
Marketing and advertising to promote the market and our vendors. This includes our What's On Channels, eDM to our Loyal Local (10k on our database), paid advertising, and so on.
Upon application success, Larnach Castle Functions Team will supply a legal contract, Plans for the Site, Health and Safety, and Traffic Management.
Larnach Castle Team will coordinate the planning, communications and operations of The Spring Collective Market.

Larnach Castle will also have some stalls including food and beverage, Gift Shop, and a Plant Stall.

What do vendors need to provide?

Vendors need to provide their gazebo or stall cover, trestle table and payment facilities (cash, EFTPOS).

What vehicle access is there?

There is limited vehicle access via the roundabout of the Circular Lawn to drop off produce and stall set up. There will be Stallholder Parking in the Top Carpark opposite the Castle.

Will Larnach Castle have stalls as well?

Yes, Larnach Castle will also have our own stalls too, including food and beverage, Gift Shop and a Plant Stall.

How do I get to and from Larnach Castle?

The best way to get to Larnach Castle is to drive along Highcliff Road or Portobello Road, turning up at Company Bay which takes around 20 minutes. There is no public transport that goes to the castle; therefore, all applicants must have reliable transport.
