About Larnach Lodge

Larnach Lodge accommodation is purpose built within the grounds of Larnach Castle. Being built beside the original historic Stables and over the foundations of old farm buildings, Larnach Lodge was designed as a re-creation of a colonial farm building, positioned with spectacular harbour, ocean and Peninsula views.

The Lodge features:

• Larnach Lodge is Qualmark 4-Star rated within the “Guest and Hosted” category.
• Twelve themed rooms, encapsulating the historic Larnach Castle setting. Themes include: Scottish,  Enchanted Forest, Rhododendron, Kate’s, New Zealand, Rose, Sea, White, Kauri, Pink, Goldrush, Victorian.
• Set within 35 acres of gardens and grounds, perfect for evening strolls and walks.
• All rooms feature ensuite's, heaters, free wireless, phone, SkyTV, radio alarm, tea and coffee making facilities, fridge, hairdryer, iron and ironing board, guest laundry and car parking.
• Close to other unique Otago Peninsula attractions, such as: the Royal Albatross Colony, the Yellow Eyed Penguin Reserve, Monarch Wildlife Cruises and Glenfalloch Gardens.
• The opportunity to dine in the Castle (bookings must be made by 5:00pm).

This accommodation package includes: Accommodation and breakfast. Full cooked breakfast served in the Castle Stables  (valued at $70.00 for two adults). Visit to the Castle, Gardens and Grounds (valued at $90.00 for two adults). The opportunity to dine in the Castle, if confirmation of attendance and menu choices are made by 5pm on the day (the cost of dinner is not part of this package). Read more.
Additional Charges: Extra Adult Charge - Add $150.00 (Adult is aged 15 years and over) Extra Child Charge - Add $90.00 (Child age is 14 years and under) Cot Charge - Add $20.00 (Infants aged 2 and under are free unless bedding is required)

Please note we will endeavour to reserve the room type you request but this cannot be guaranteed. Please inform our reservations staff if you require a room that will accommodate a wheelchair, or have difficulty with stairs.  Please note all credit card transactions incur a surcharge of 2%

Booking Conditions

• We require a deposit of one night's accommodation to secure the booking. Bookings without a deposit will not be held.
• Please send us a cheque or credit card number plus expiry date. We do not accept American Express or Diners Cards.  If you are not happy sending credit card details through the web, our fax is 00 64 3 476 1574 or you can phone us on 00 64 3 476 1616. If you send a cheque please send details of the booking with your cheque!
• Cancellation policy – Your deposit, less a 10% handling fee, is refundable if the booking is cancelled more than 96 hours (4 days) before the date booked. If the booking is cancelled after this the deposit is non-refundable if the room is not resold.
• Check in time is from 3.00pm. Check out is at 10.00am.
• Breakfast is served from 8.00am  - 9.30am.
