Serpentine Walk at Larnach Castle

Accessibility at Larnach Castle and Gardens

We want every visitor to enjoy their time with us, and we've done our best to make Larnach Castle and Gardens as accessible as possible.

So that our team can make your visit as comfortable as possible, please let our Gatehouse team know.

Carparking
Accessible parking is available in the main carpark directly opposite the Castle.

Guests staying in our accommodation will find accessible parking conveniently located in the courtyard.

Accessible Toilets
A unisex, accessible toilet with changetable is located in the Ballroom Coverway beside the female toilets, opposite the male toilets.

Gardens, Ballroom Café and Gift Shop
The gardens, grounds, Ballroom Café, and Gift Shop are all accessible to visitors. Pathways and lawns are the safest routes through the gardens, and we ask that all visitors keep to these areas.

Please be mindful of uneven surfaces, naturally slippery paths, and other natural hazards as you explore.

Wheelchair Available for Use
A wheelchair is available for visitor use free of charge. Please ask one of our friendly team members to arrange.

Castle Building

Due to the Castle's historic nature, the first floor and above are accessible by stairs only, with several stairways throughout. Handrails are on all staircases.

The turret is accessible from the Nursery Floor. Please note that the turret steps are concrete, narrow, and relatively steep, with a handrail provided. We recommend visitors assess their own comfort and ability before attempting the climb, as this may not be suitable for everyone.

Please be mindful of uneven surfaces and small level changes as you move between rooms.

Accessible Tour
Our short garden tour follows accessible pathways throughout, making it a wonderful option for visitors who prefer a gentler route through the gardens.

Need Help?
Our team is always happy to assist. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to make your visit more comfortable.
