Finding the Castle

	To assist in finding your way to Larnach Castle, we have provided two downloadable sets of maps and driving instructions.

	Dunedin City to Larnach Castle. Drive from the Octagon (the heart of Dunedin City) to the Castle via a high route over the centre of the Peninsula. This route has panorama views of the Peninsula, Otago Harbour and the Pacific Ocean.		►Download Map 1

	Dunedin Airport to Larnach Castle. Drive from the Airport (south of Dunedin) to the Castle via a high route over the centre of the Peninsula. This route has panoramic views of the Peninsula, Otago Harbour and the Pacific Ocean.		►Download Map 2


	It is recommended that you DO NOT use your car navigation systems to find your way about the Otago Peninsula. Please use the existing road signs. For instance, Larnach Castle is located at 145 Camp Road, which runs off Highcliff Road that runs through the centre of the Peninsula. A separate Camp Road also exists running from the water's edge up towards the Castle, but this road stops and does not join 145 Camp Road (it is a walking track through farm paddocks). As you can imagine car navigation systems get this wrong!!
